Psychiatric Clinic Iwano Frankiwsk
The war in Ukraine, which has now been going on for more than a year, has not only left its mark on people physically, but in some cases also caused severe psychological trauma. The Ivano Frankivsk Clinic is now also a contact point for many internally displaced persons, who often come from the hard-fought regions in the east of the country and are under great strain. The hospital currently has 326 beds, but this is no longer enough. Over the course of the year, the facility has already been expanded by 70 beds. The expansion will reduce waiting times for necessary treatments. Various items of furniture and kitchen equipment are also required. Another important investment is the lift, which was applied for by Prof. Dr Pustoyot at the end of September.
The Solidarity Ukraine Foundation is already thinking about reconstruction in Ukraine. The aim of the foundation is to provide support in this endeavour. The aim is to provide financial aid for the reconstruction and safeguarding of social infrastructure in particular; schools, day-care centres, hospitals, care facilities, etc. It is particularly important that every euro donated reaches the country. Your donations are therefore not used for administrative or marketing costs.
The establishment of the Solidarity Ukraine Foundation in 2022 laid the foundation for medium and long-term support. It is important to focus on educational and healthcare facilities, as these structures are among the foundations of a future worth living for families in the devastated regions.
